Post-Production
Draft One
Between the first and second draft I aimed to reflect on the feedback given and alter it in order to create a higher quality documentary. I was able to remove the extra unnecessary length from the documentary as well as adding documentary conventions of ending credits and adding overlays to make the documentary more interesting and engaging to the audience.
Draft Two
Between the second and third draft is where I took on audience feedback analysed draft two and focused on going through each detail to create the best possible product. Therefore I focused on transitions between video clips and graphics as well as adding articles to back up my points and the points the interviewee was making I also included a resource from a mental health charity whom I contacted and was granted the use of their materials to include in my documentary.
Draft Three
Between the third draft and the final product was where fine details were paid close attention to. As I did a self assessment of draft three it allowed me to take a step back and watch the documentary as a part of the audience rather than a producer this allowed me to self-critique and asses and pick up on things that I may have missed if I hadn't have done this. Due to the nature of the intended audience I decided to add a hashtag to the final product so the audience could engage with the documentary through their own choice of platform. I also made the graphics appear on the screen for longer making them easier to read as well as fixing a group of sound effects that had been misplaced.
